Take it from a natural born skeptic...
...this is a good book! I had many a reservation toward reading a book on hypnosis, however, due to the recommendations of a close friend, I decided "What the hell?"

For anyone who's never read into this kind of subject - like myself - this is an excellent place to start because - frankly - it's short & sweet. At little more than 150 pages, "Learn Hypnosis...Now!" is just enough of a book to be as informative as it needs to be, while being just little enough so as not to be intimidating to those who are merely curious.

Within the first few pages, you'll probably find yourself infected with the author's enthusiasm, and that "infection" won't let up until you're finished with the last page - thus making "Learn Hypnosis...Now!" very fun to read. Michael Stevenson states that he purchased a tape on self-hypnosis at the county fair a few years back for the sake of curiosity, and proceeded to kill a vicious smoking habit as a direct result. Given the fact that hypnosis yielded such a life-changing (and life-improving) experience, it's no mystery as to where his enthusiasm for others to learn hypnosis comes from.

Inside, you get: step-by-step instruction, tips on how to properly approach hypnosis as well as those whom you're trying to hypnotize, all the facts in order to dispel any possible misconceptions you may have, detailed appendices including a brief history of hypnosis from late 18th century Magnetism to the present, and much more.

All in all, it's a delightful - and insightful - read, which can make even a skeptic-at-heart (like myself) think twice about what a little open-mindedness can accomplish.
